Kylie Jenner revealed recently on her snap chat her secret to solving her acne problems in a series of snaps  - something I think we can all relate to!. The reality TV star-turned-beauty empire builder divulged a skincare secret that upon first glance seems we can totally get behind. However upon closer inspection it would seem the Mario Badescu Plastic Drying Lotion which Kylie swears by, lists ingredients including Titanium Dioxide, which was classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as an IARC Group 2B carcinogen. Talc another ingredient used which more recently, has had the spot light due to controversy around the use of Talc in cosmetics with growing concerns of a possible link to cancer.

Personally I don't think I would feel comfortable putting possible carcinogenic ingredients onto my skin. Perhaps a suitable alternative for Kylie would be for her to combat blemishes and spots using natural ingredients which are safer, non-toxic and have been provided by mother nature for millions of years. The most effective and proven means to combat acne would be to use a system to regulate hormones - as we all know raging hormones are the biggest culprit for those unsightly lumps and pimples!
